About John Hoggard D.O.
I graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1978 and started practice in Sevenoaks and London, where I remained until 2019 when I semi-retired to Petworth, where I have lived since 2002. I am no longer working as an Osteopath but now work as a manual therapist using manipulation, massage and cranial techniques.
I treat a wide range of conditions, age is no barrier. The youngest patient I have treated was 1 day old, and the oldest 96 years old! I treat most spinal conditions from the low back to neck, including head and face pain, sports injuries, arm, leg and foot problems and extremely gentle treatment of new born and children, often as a result of birth trauma.
What to Expect
I will take a full case history of your current problem including medical history and medication. You may then be asked to remove any necessary clothing so I can asses your mobility and get a good idea whether treatment will help you. Sometimes additional tests may be needed, eg blood tests or MRI scans, or referral to other health care professionals.
I treat using conventional manipulation and cranial techniques. I also use laser (low level light therapy), which is excellent to promote soft tissue healing, and a G5 massager.
The charge is £45 per treatment
